„This paper has approached Access to Justice through discussion of the new avenues for services resulting from the introduction of the NFP sector into the legal aid sector. In many government policy documents, the concepts of ‘access to justice’ and ‘improving the reach of legal services’ are used as though they were synonymous, in the same way that the designations of ‘citizen’ and ‘consumer’ are often treated as interchangeable. The relationship between the two sets of ideas is more complex and problematic, however.”
